Our province’s firefighters, water bomber pilots, and first responders have been working tirelessly to protect Newfoundland & Labrador during this wildfire season. It’s time to give a little something back.
We’re giving away a 2-night stay at Islands’ Villa in Lewisporte & a welcome basket of goodies so one deserving hero can enjoy some much-needed R&R. Find the Post HERE
Here are the official rules & regulations:
1. Eligibility: Open to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry. Nominees must be firefighters, water bomber pilots, or first responders who have assisted during the NL wildfires. Employees of Islands’ Villa, their immediate family members, and anyone living in the same household are not eligible.
2. How to Enter:
Like the giveaway post on Facebook & Comment the name of a deserving firefighter, water bomber pilot, or first responder in NL who you feel deserves a relaxing getaway. Sharing the post is optional and does not increase chances of winning.
3. Duration: Giveaway runs for two weeks from the date of posting. Entries submitted after the closing date will not be considered.
4. Prize: One (1) winner will be randomly selected to receive a two-night stay at Islands’ Villa in Lewisporte & a welcome basket of goodies, approximate retail value $400 CAD. Prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and must be used within 12 months of winning (subject to availability).
5. Winner Selection & Notification: Winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. The winner will be announced on Islands’ Villa’s official Facebook page and contacted directly through Facebook Messenger. If the winner does not respond within 5 days, another winner may be selected.
6.Odds: Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
7. Publicity: By entering, participants agree that Islands’ Villa may use their name, tagged nominee, and entry for promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
8. Release: Publicity: By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to allow Islands’ Villa to use their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
9. Online Safety Notice: Participants should be aware that fraudulent accounts may attempt to imitate Islands’ Villa through comments or direct messages. Islands’ Villa will never request personal or financial information as part of this giveaway. The company assumes no responsibility or liability for any losses, damages, or issues resulting from interactions with unofficial or fraudulent accounts.
10. Limitation of Liability & Legal: By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Islands’ Villa and all partners, affiliates, agents, and representatives from any claims or liabilities arising from participation in the giveaway or the use/misuse of the prize, including, but not limited to:

11. Disputes related to the contest: This giveaway is governed by the laws of Canada and Newfoundland & Labrador. All disputes shall be resolved individually (without class action), exclusively in the courts of Newfoundland & Labrador. Participants waive rights to punitive or consequential damages and limit claims to out-of-pocket expenses related to entering the giveaway.
